Show Cars Drag Race In Wendover

Last Sunday, June 18, Wendover Raceway opened at 9am for nine hours of drag racing. Most of the cars that raced were from the Rainbow Car Show. There were 211 side-by-side races throughout the day. The top 30 fastest cars of the day came from 6 different states including Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Nevada, Utah and Wyoming.

On Sunday, Wendover Raceway opened for 6 hours of drag racing down the quarter mile track. All hot rods ran side-by side for a total of 202 races. Brad Sharp ran the fastest time of the day with an 11.37 second time in the quarter mile just before he blew his engine at the finish line. He said he will be back to racing with a new engine on April 23rd, when local Chevy’s and Honda’s challenge the Utah Mustang Club at the Wendover Raceway.

Cold Weather Didn't Stop The Hot Rods

Wendover Raceway opened last Sunday, March 12th for the first drag race of the year. The weather was cold with the wind chill factor down to 25 degrees during the event but it didn't stop racers for a minute as the total at the end of the day was 178 races. The top ten fastest cars of the day were;
